Rethinking The Feminine: Deconstructing Masculine Hegemony In Luce Irigaray’s Postmodern Feminist Thought.

Abstract

This article examines the feminist philosophy of Luce Irigaray in the context of postmodern thought, exploring the persistent marginalization of women within Western metaphysical, philosophical, and psychoanalytic traditions. It highlights Irigaray’s contributions to understanding the ontology of the feminine, her critique of phallocentric rationality, and her innovative strategies for constructing a feminine discourse. By tracing the historical and symbolic repression of women, the study demonstrates how Irigaray recovers female subjectivity through language, embodiment, and sexual difference. Additionally, the article emphasizes the role of embodied memory and feminine knowledge as an ethical and epistemological resource, proposing a reconceptualization of identity, desire, and relationality beyond patriarchal hierarchies. تعالج هذه المقالة الفلسفة النسوية لدى لوس إريغاراي في سياق الفكر ما بعد الحداثي، حيث تستكشف التهميش المستمر للمرأة داخل التقاليد الميتافيزيقية والفلسفية والتحليلية النفسية الغربية. وتُبرز إسهامات إريغاراي في فهم أنطولوجيا الأنثوي، ونقدها للعقلانية المتمركزة حول الذكورة، واستراتيجياتها المبتكرة في بناء خطاب أنثوي. ومن خلال تتبّع القمع التاريخي والرمزي الذي طال المرأة، تبيّن الدراسة كيف تستعيد إريغاراي ذاتية المرأة عبر اللغة والتجسّد والاختلاف الجنسي. كما تؤكد المقالة على دور الذاكرة المتجسدة والمعرفة الأنثوية بوصفهما موردًا أخلاقيًا وإبستمولوجيًا، مقترحةً إعادة تصوّر مفاهيم الهوية والرغبة والعلاقاتية خارج البُنى الهرمية الأبوية.
