Sequential Art in the teaching of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) addresses the challenges posed by new literacies and contemporary epistemologies. By combining text and image, this visuverbal, multimodal medium stimulates learner motivation while enhancing their skills. Sequential Art promotes the development of multiliteracies, including visual literacy, critical thinking, and intercultural competence, by exposing learners to diverse cultural and historical representations. Through its hybrid narrative, it enriches the learning experience with an interactive and reflective reading approach, suited to contemporary digital practices, while fostering the emergence of complex thinking.
