Summary : This presentation explores the Roman perception of death and their beliefs regarding the afterlife. It also highlights the primary funeral rites and religious festivals dedicated to the deceased. It is important to note that Roman religion was heavily inspired by Greek religion, leading to a philosophical continuity in their outlook on life. However, the Romans maintained unique characteristics shaped by their own history. Rome’s trajectory shifted significantly following its conquest of the Mediterranean, which resulted in new social and religious behaviors.
