Industrial Clusters As A Mechanism For Developing The Role Of Small And Medium Enterprises And Achieving Economic Take-off In Algeria

Abstract
Lately, industrial clusters gained great importance in discussions about achieving economic development. Furthermore, industrial clusters have become engines for developing small and medium entreprises and encouraging innovation in the eyes of governments and economic policies’ makers; as small and medium entreprises participating in the cluster can benefit from the scale economies, either in the stage of financing or the one of marketing. Moreover, small and medium entreprises in Algeria face many obstacles, as they work in an unhealthy environment. Wherefore, industrial clusters can represent a key for the success of this type of entreprises, as these clusters would allow them to benefit from the scale economies, either in the stage of financing or in the one of marketing their products. Therefore, they can reach high levels of growth and products’ quality through the continuous improvements that occur within the industrial cluster.
