. The Role Of Computational Linguistics In Making The Contemporary School Dictionary

Abstract

Abstract: This research seeks to present mechanisms for employing computational linguistics in the creation of the electronic dictionary, using the school dictionary as a model, in response to the educational field’s need for modern digital techniques. By adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, introducing the concepts and explanations of the study’s terms, and presenting two models of Arabic electronic dictionaries, we conclude that it is possible to develop this lexicographic field through the use of the latest computational methods in selecting and standardising educational material.
