Leading Humanistic Approaches In Psychotherapy: A Comparative Analytical Study

Authors : Boumedjane Nadia .

Abstract

This study presents a comparative analysis of three leading humanistic approaches in psychotherapy: client-centered therapy, Gestalt therapy, and existential therapy. It focuses on each approach`s view of human nature, therapeutic goals, the role of the therapist, and applied techniques. The findings reveal that, despite theoretical differences, these approaches share a positive view of the human being and emphasize the centrality of the therapeutic relationship in facilitating change. The study highlights the importance of utilizing these approaches in contemporary therapeutic contexts to promote mental health and enhance individual psychological balance.
