Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the world, and small startups are leading this transformation. However, their journey is not easy; many face challenges such as high technical costs, lack of expertise, and difficulty accessing appropriate support. This study aims to understand how startups can successfully adopt AI. The research analyzes influencing factorssuch as costs, management support, and competitive pressurealong with a review of prominent global support programs from Singapore and Canada to the UAE and the United States. The findings demonstrate that success does not depend on technology alone, but rather on a potent combination of well-thought-out funding, practical training, strong partnerships, and informed government support. Finally, the study offers a set of practical recommendations tailored specifically to the Algerian context, aiming to help decision-makers and entrepreneurs build an innovation ecosystem that supports startups' progress in the AI race.
