الملخص
تتناول هذه الدراسة مسألة الاتساق والانسجام في ترجمة النصوص التاريخية من منظور لسانيات النص، استنادًا إلى نموذج روبرت دي بوغراند الذي يحدد سبعة معايير نصية لضمان ترابط النصوص وتماسكها. يهدف البحث إلى تحليل كيفية تحقيق الترجمات لمتطلبات الاتساق والانسجام وفق هذا النموذج، من خلال دراسة تطبيق هذه المعايير على نماذج مختارة من مقدمة ابن خلدون وترجمتها إلى اللغة الانجليزية. تعتمد الدراسة على منهج تحليلي يقوم بتفكيك النماذج المختارة وتقييم مدى توافقها مع معايير دي بوغراند، مع تسليط الضوء على التحديات التي تواجه المترجم في نقل النصوص التاريخية بدقة وسلاسة. كما تسعى إلى تقديم رؤية منهجية تسهم في تحسين استراتيجيات الترجمة، بما يضمن الحفاظ على بنية النصوص التاريخية ودلالاتها الأصلية، مع مراعاة الفروقات الثقافية واللغوية بين النص المصدر والنص الهدف. This study examines cohesion and coherence in the translation of historical texts from the perspective of text linguistics, drawing on Robert de Beaugrande’s model, which defines seven textual standards crucial for ensuring textual unity. It aims to analyse how these standards are met in translations by applying them to selected excerpts from The Muqaddimah by Ibn Khaldun and its English version. Using an analytical approach, the study deconstructs the selected passages to evaluate their alignment with de Beaugrande’s criteria, while also identifying the main challenges translators encounter in conveying historical texts accurately and fluently. The research further seeks to propose a methodological framework to improve translation strategies, ensuring the preservation of both the structural integrity and original meaning of historical texts. It also considers the influence of cultural and linguistic differences between source and target languages, offering insights into achieving balance between fidelity to the original and clarity in the translation.
