This study examines the role of wearable payment devices as a financial technology innovation in promoting digital payments and enhancing financial inclusion in China. It aims to analyze the factors driving their adoption and their impact on the financial ecosystem. The study employs a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing scientific literature, financial reports, and official data sources such as Statista and regulatory agencies. Findings reveal that key adoption drivers include blockchain-based security enhancements, increasing consumer trust, and the widespread penetration of smartphones. Additionally, China's robust digital payment infrastructure has facilitated the expansion of wearable payment devices, positioning the country as a global leader, with over 85% of mobile transactions occurring within its market. Despite initial challenges such as security concerns and consumer hesitation, the integration of biometric authentication and blockchain technology has accelerated adoption. The study recommends that other countries leverage China’s experience to enhance financial inclusion through digital payment innovations.
