This analysis investigates the United States' history of intervention in international conflicts, examining the motivations, justifications, and legal implications of these actions. The study explores how U.S. interventionism is shaped by factors like national security interests, the promotion of democracy and human rights, and the maintenance of global stability, considering the potential conflict with international law. The effectiveness of these interventions is assessed, exploring the impact on targeted countries, regional stability, and global perceptions of American foreign policy through a close examination of case studies both before and after the Gulf War, as well as by referencing scholarly analyses.
