“scientific Integrity In The Era Of Generative Artificial Intelligence: What Responsibilities?”

Authors : Hamdis Makboula .

Abstract

Abstract Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a tool capable of creating content such as texts, images, and graphics in response to a user’s prompt in multiple languages. For researchers in the scientific field, generative AI serves as a sophisticated assistant that can help draft articles and identify bibliographic references. Generative AI practices range from defining research questions or hypotheses, creating methodologies, to evaluating projects and beyond. Responsibility for generated content lies with the researchers who produce the final results of their articles. Regarding scientific integrity, researchers must remain vigilant on critical issues such as reliability, ownership, and confidentiality.
