Smart Reference Services In Modern Libraries: Between Technological Innovation And Ethical Challenges

behavior analytics have transformed traditional reference services into more interactive and personalized services. The study also discusses the emergence of generative artificial intelligence and its role in enhancing user experience through faster, continuous, and more inclusive access to information. At the same time, the research addresses the ethical challenges associated with these technologies, especially issues related to privacy protection, algorithmic bias, information reliability, and the decline of human interaction within libraries. Furthermore, it explores the current state of smart reference service implementation in modern libraries and identifies the requirements necessary for successful digital transformation. The study concludes that achieving a balance between technological innovation and professional ethics is essential for the future of libraries in the digital age
