The Effect Of Emotional Responses As A Mediator Between Website Quality And Impulse Buying Behaviour Online: Empirical Study Of Jumia Algeria

Authors : Bouatrous Djamel .

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to analyse the impact of website quality in its various dimensions on the impulsive buying behaviour of Algerian shoppers on the Joya platform, with a focus on the mediating role of emotional responses according to the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) model. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) on a sample of 140 shoppers, the results showed a direct and statistically significant impact of website quality on impulsive buying, along with a strong mediating role of emotional responses. These results indicate that impulsive buying in the Algerian context is primarily linked to the emotional experiences provided by the website rather than relying on cognitive evaluations.
