Abstract: This study aimed to highlight the role of cultural festivals as one of the most important means used in promoting archaeological tourism, as they contribute to enhancing local heritage and culture while sparking visitors' curiosity to discover history and learn about the region's monuments. Therefore, cultural events are excellent showcases for highlighting archaeological heritage. It can be said that festivals offer tourists the opportunity to explore heritage interactively through authentic experiences that blend tradition and entertainment, encouraging them to delve deeper into the culture and archaeological sites of the region. In fact, many countries with a rich archaeological past exploit this feature by regularly organising festivals at their historical sites, and Algeria and the city of Constantine are no exception in this regard, as cultural festivals allow them to promote their exceptional archaeological heritage and attract visitors. The study concluded that despite Constantine possessing many historical and archaeological sites, most cultural events are held far from these areas, which has rendered these events ineffective in promoting archaeological tourism. In stark contrast, the study found that Tunisia, Jordan, and Egypt have effectively utilised their archaeological heritage for tourism promotion.
