Abstract: This study investigates the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) needs of Master II Agronomy students at Chadli Bendjedid University-El Tarf. The study aims to identify students’ academic language needs, preferred language skills, and perceptions regarding ESP instruction. A questionnaire consisting of thirteen questions was administered to 48 Master II students from the Department of Agronomy. The findings revealed that students consider English highly important for reading scientific agricultural articles, understanding technical terminology, writing research projects, and participating in academic communication. Reading and writing were identified as the most important skills, whereas listening and speaking were also viewed as essential for oral presentations and classroom interaction. The study further demonstrated that students need more authentic agricultural materials and vocabulary-focused instruction. Therefore, the research recommends designing learner-centered ESP courses that integrate scientific reading tasks, academic writing activities, oral presentations, and multimedia resources related to agricultural sciences.
