This study aims to shed light on the evolution of financial technology (FinTech) in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and to analyze the economic, regulatory, and technological factors influencing this evolution, while exploring the main trends and the most dynamic sub-sectors within the industry. To this end, the descriptive-analytical approach is adopted. The findings indicate that the development of FinTech across these regions is characterized by significant disparities between Europe and the Middle East and Africa. Europe has experienced a relative slowdown in investments, albeit with some large-scale deals, whereas the Middle East and Africa have recorded remarkable growth, particularly in the digital payments segment. Moreover, global economic transformations have had a pronounced impact on startup financing, highlighting the need for flexible strategies to ensure the sustainability of the sector and to strengthen its contribution to the development of financial systems.
