Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, it reviews the evolution of FinTech from 1.0 to 3.0. The study analyses FinTech’s capacity to overcome traditional barriers to financial access, particularly for underserved populations. It emphasizes digital financial inclusion as a vital mechanism for poverty reduction and enhanced economic resilience, as demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper also addresses challenges of this digital transition, including regulatory gaps and cybersecurity risks.
