The study investigates Algerian EFL teachers’ attitudes toward the role of the flipped classroom model in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills. The study adopts a quantitative descriptive survey design to collect data from a convenient sample of 45 participants through a structured questionnaire. Results report that most teachers have positive attitudes towards the potential of the model and they believe it can support critical thinking. The model’s effectiveness is directly linked to the flipped classroom’s in-class discussions and activities aspect. The study concludes that the effective implementation of the model in Algerian universities requires taking certain measures such as, developed technological infrastructure, specialized training for teachers, in addition to a gradual pedagogical transition.
