Artificial Intelligence And Documentary Systems For University Library Management: Global And Arab Experiences

Abstract
Our world is currently witnessing significant advancements in scientific and technological publishing, resulting in a major shift in university library operations. It has become essential for these libraries to abandon traditional methods of managing tasks and offering services and move towards more modern and effective solutions. This transformation is driven by the adoption of advanced documentary software and the use of artificial intelligence technologies and applications that contribute to creating a more integrated environment among various systems in libraries. It also enhances the efficiency of library operations, such as collecting, processing, and storing information in a way that facilitates fast and accurate retrieval, while maintaining innovation and modernity that meet the expectations of users. This study aims to highlight the role of documentary software supported by artificial intelligence technologies in improving the efficiency and accuracy of library operations, providing advanced services, and enabling intelligent interaction with users. The paper introduces some of the most well-known documentary software, outlines their advantages, and discusses the use of artificial intelligence applications in these systems. Additionally, it presents global and Arab experiences that have successfully implemented these technologies and achieved significant progress in library services.
