:ABSTRACT The Algerian revolutionary context was not the result of prior legal or international recognition, but the fruit of an accumulated process shaped by organized revolutionary action, popular mobilization, and the undermining of the foundations of colonial legitimacy based on violence and exclusion. The article seeks to analyze how colonial violence transformed from a tool of domination into a catalyst for producing an alternative revolutionary legitimacy, through which the National Liberation Front (FLN) was able to build a parallel political authority. This authority derived its legitimacy from representing the collective will and from its ability to impose itself as an internal and external actor. The research also highlights the role of political, military, and diplomatic organization in the transition from the logic of resistance to the logic of sovereignty, demonstrating that international recognition was not the cause of legitimacy's emergence, but rather a result of its realization within the national sphere. The study adopts a historical-analytical and conceptual approach, aiming to re-insert the Algerian Revolution into theoretical discussions about legitimacy and sovereignty in contexts of national liberation, and to present it as an analytical model that enriches the field of comparative political studies. It concludes that the Algerian Revolution constituted a real laboratory for producing new political legitimacy, contributing to the expansion of the scope of thinking about the concept of the state and sovereignty outside the classical mode
