Abstract: This study aims to shed light on the emergent trend towards Islamic banking in Algeria by examining the integration of Islamic windows within conventional banks aimed at augmenting the accumulation of savings. Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology, the study reveals that despite the promulgation of Law 20-02, which focuses on Islamic banking, these financial institutions continue to function within a framework designed predominantly for traditional banking systems. This alignment has inherently constrained their operational scope and diminished their influential capacity within the financial sector
Keywords: Islamic Banking; Islamic Windows; Oil Crisis.
