This study aims to explore the current state and challenges of Islamic financing in Algeria through Islamic banking windows, and to identify the regulatory and legal obstacles faced by conventional banks in providing Islamic financing to individuals, institutions, and professionals who abstain from interest-based transactions. It also seeks to examine the mobilization of savings and liquid assets circulating outside the formal economy and integrating them into the official financial system to promote economic and social development. The study focuses on Islamic banking windows, which are subject to a set of laws, such as Law 18-02 related to participatory banking operations and interest-free loans, and Law 20-02 concerning Islamic banking operations and the rules governing their practice by banks and financial institutions. These frameworks aim to support and develop Islamic finance to meet economic demands and promote Islamic banking and its developmental contributions; The study concludes that Islamic banking windows in conventional banks contribute to expanding the scope of Islamic banking in Algeria by offering new financing mechanisms that address general economic needs and particularly support development goals.
