Digital Tourism Marketing In Algeria: Reality And Challenges

Abstract

Despite Algeria's abundant and varied natural tourist attractions, which position it as a prime candidate for tourism leadership both regionally and globally, ranked among the top 52 tourist destinations worth exploring, the country's tourism sector has yet to achieve its potential. This underperformance highlights the necessity for implementing multifaceted and effective strategies. Among these, digital marketing stands out, utilizing information and communication technology as a core component for the extensive online promotion of natural resources, tourism, and hospitality services. This strategy promises to invigorate and elevate the tourism sector in Algeria, establishing it as a significant economic force beyond the hydrocarbon industry.
