Abstract: This study examines the role of crowdfunding platforms in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), focusing on Poland. It aims to assess the scale and evolution of crowdfunding financing directed toward SMEs and to identify the main beneficiary sectors. The study adopts a descriptive and analytical approach based on secondary data from international reports and academic sources. The results show that crowdfunding has increasingly contributed to SME financing in Poland as a complementary funding source, with support mainly concentrated in technology, services, and creative industries. The study highlights the effectiveness of crowdfunding in improving SME access to finance under an appropriate regulatory framework.
