ملخص: يبرز الذكاء الاصطناعي اليوم كتكنولوجيا بالغة الأهمية لها تطبيقات في مجالات لا حصر لها، وهو متوغل في كل ما حولنا. ومع كونه عنصرا أساسيا في التحول الرقمي لمجتمعاتنا ويهدف إلى تغيير الطريقة التي نتفاعل بها مع الأشياء وقضايانا اليومية، فإنه يحمل في طياته تحديات كبيرة، خاصة فيما يتعلق بمسائل الاستعمار والهيمنة المعرفية. تسعى هذه الورقة إلى استكشاف إمكانية تطويع الذكاء الاصطناعي ليكون أداة للتمكين وتجاوز إرث الاستعمار بدلا من ترسيخه. وهي بذلك تسائل وتسلط الضوء على الحقيقة التي لا يعترف بها الكثيرين، وهي أن الآلة التي تمتلك الذكاء يجب أن تكون بيضاء اللون أو العرق. باستنادها إلى نظريات ما بعد الاستعمار، تعتمد الدراسة منهجا تحليليا نقديا لفهم وتوجيه تطور الذكاء الاصطناعي، أين يشتبك القسم الأول منها مع دور الذكاء الاصطناعي في إعادة إنتاج أو نزع الاستعمار، بينما يبحث الجزء الثاني الأطر والمبادئ الأخلاقية الكفيلة بتمكين المجتمعات المهمشة وحماية خصوصيتها الثقافية. لتخلص إلى أن الانتقال نحو ذكاء اصطناعي " مُحرّر" يتطلب بناء أطر أخلاقية تضمن التعددية المعرفية والمشاركة العادلة في إنتاجها. Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force with near-ubiquitous applications, fundamentally reshaping digital societies and everyday human engagement with technology, institutions, and knowledge systems. Yet beneath its promise lies a critical paradox: AI risks perpetuating colonial continuities and epistemic hegemony through embedded biases and unequal power structures in data, design, and deployment. This paper interrogates whether AI can be reconceptualized—not as an instrument of domination—but as a catalyst for epistemic justice and cultural empowerment. It challenges the tacit assumption that machine intelligence must conform to a Eurocentric epistemological framework, often implicitly coded as “white” in its norms, values, and representational logics. Guided by postcolonial theory, the study employs a critical-analytical methodology to examine two interdependent dimensions: (1) AI’s dual capacity to either reproduce or actively dismantle colonial epistemic orders; and (2) the ethical and institutional frameworks required to center marginalized voices, protect cultural specificity, and ensure equitable participation in AI development. The analysis concludes that a genuinely emancipatory AI—one that transcends its colonial entanglements—demands co-created ethical paradigms rooted in epistemic pluralism, cognitive justice, and inclusive knowledge production.
