This article addresses the issue of cybersecurity in the context of rapid digital transformations by examining national and international legal and regulatory frameworks related to data protection and digital privacy. Its main objective is to assess the adequacy of existing legislation in meeting current challenges, with a particular focus on the Algerian experience in light of comparative practices. The study is structured around three main axes: the conceptual framework of cybersecurity, international and national legal references, and the implications of such regulations for building digital trust. A descriptive-analytical approach was employed, based on a review of relevant legal and academic sources. The findings reveal that cybersecurity is no longer a purely technical matter but rather a strategic issue intersecting with legal and institutional dimensions. This calls for the development of comprehensive legislative frameworks and the reinforcement of digital governance mechanisms to protect cyberspace and foster trust among individuals and institutions.
