The use of different types of artificial intelligence has increased in recent years in many parts of the criminal justice system and its application in technological and legal terms considerably more than ever before. The use of artificial intelligence continues to proliferate at all levels of criminal justice, from the criminalization process, through criminal procedures, to the pronouncement and implementation of punishment...It entails assessing and screening data during the investigation process, identifying patterns and trends of criminal activity, reaching decision-making procedures connected to the deployment of security personnel, and punishment. Employing artificial intelligence in the field of the criminal justice system, and its continued development, may be the beginning of new competencies in the field of public accountability in substantive and procedural terms, but its potential implications for basic legal principles and traditionally protected human rights remain open for academic debate, and the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology makes the legal and ethical implications multidimensional and very complex.
