This study aims to examine Algeria's role in supporting startups by developing the key components of their entrepreneurial ecosystem. To this end, a descriptive–analytical approach is employed to analyse the various data and measures adopted in this field, as well as to assess the extent to which these measures are reflected in the actual conditions of startups in Algeria. The findings indicate that Algeria has been slow to capitalise on this global trend. Nevertheless, through a range of support-related measures, including financial and regulatory instruments, the Algerian experience has achieved noticeable progress at the local level. However, it remains a modest experience that continues to face numerous obstacles to achieving global success, most notably the lack of creativity and innovation.
