In the era of digital technology and immersive environments, the teaching and learning of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) are undergoing a profound transformation. These new tools open up innovative avenues for developing written production skills in the Algerian university context. They invite a rethinking of the “student–knowledge–language” triad by promoting an interactive, experiential, and collaborative approach to writing. Such technologies foster a motivational and contextualized learning environment in which students become active agents and take responsibility for their own learning within authentic and engaging writing situations. The following question therefore arises: To what extent do immersive technologies contribute to the development of writing competence in FLE and to the emergence of new pedagogical dynamics in Algerian universities? This study seeks to address this issue through a theoretical reflection and an empirical investigation conducted among third-year undergraduate students in the Department of French at the University of Bordj Bou Arréridj. The aim is to identify the impact of these technologies on learners’ motivation, creativity, and the overall quality of their written productions in French as a foreign language.
