This research explored the influence of Japanese anime on Algerian Youth Culture. The study's importance lies in understanding the impact of prolonged anime exposure on young individuals' culture, as well as its effects on their cognition, social behaviours, and cultural expressions within their daily lives. To address this topic, this study employed an electronic questionnaire targeting a sample of 379 youth. This study was grounded in the Uses and Gratifications Theory. The findings revealed that the primary motivation for Algerian youth to watch anime is entertainment—a crucial preference for popular action and adventure genre series. Additionally, the findings revealed a significant interest in learning the Japanese language, indicating a desire to deepen their linguistic and cultural understanding. The majority of respondents reported participating in symbolic fan activities and events, such as wearing anime clothing and purchasing anime merchandise and figurines.
