Authors : Boukhalfa Ali .

Abstract

Presidents of the United States are arguably holding the most dangerous job in the world given the sensitive constitutional powers they hold in their hands and the key and leading roles America plays internationally. Thus, having the best president with the maximum stamina is paramount to discharge all his/her constitutional responsibilities. This paper discusses whether the constitutional qualifications required for the U.S. presidency are sufficient for electing the best president with the maximum stamina or not. This paper also casts light on the constitutional measures to assess the physical and mental health of incumbent and potential presidents. To achieve so, this paper relied on a descriptive approach wherein the facts are well described and analyzed by focusing on its most important characteristics to reach conclusions that help understand them. The findings showed that the constitutional qualifications are insufficient and stressed the importance of electing presidents with maximum stamina.
