Modern technologies have become an indispensable part of our lives, making the world a "global village," as communication theorist Marshall McLuhan expressed. The continuous technological advancements have sparked a revolution, calling for the transcendence of traditional norms. For example, our Smartphone screens, though only a few centimeters in size, have become windows through which we access various worlds. With their numerous services, these devices can take us wherever we want and enable us to do whatever we desire. Among these services, electronic games are some of the most widely used, especially among all age groups. However, the relationship between adolescents and these games, particularly violent and combat games like PUBG, piqued our interest and prompted us to study their effects. PUBG, launched in 2017 on computer platforms, gained widespread popularity, which increased even further in 2018 when it became available on mobile devices and free to download, with the addition of the Arabic language. This game has had serious repercussions, with some of its addicts resorting to suicide and murder. Thus, this research paper seeks to shed light on this serious issue that threatens our society and children.
