This study aimed to shed light on financial technology and its role in improving the performance of commercial banks. To achieve this objective, a field study was conducted by designing a questionnaire addressed to a sample of employees at the Algerian Foreign Bank, Annaba Branch No. 44. The number of analyzable questionnaires amounted to 30, and the data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The study reached several findings, the most important of which are: the massive transformations that emerged in the banking sector with the advent of financial technology, where banks sought to keep pace in order to improve their performance toward their clients, gain customer satisfaction, and attract new clients due to the advantages it offers. Additionally, revenue increased as a result of an expanded customer base and increased demand for digital banking services, leading to additional profits. This study will highlight financial technology and the role it plays in improving the financial performance of commercial banks.
