Authors : Belghalem Mohamed . Amiri Rachid .

Abstract

Abstract : This study aimed to investigate the level of impact of bullying on burnout and the nature of the relationship between them. The study also sought to identify differences in the level of burnout between individuals exposed to bullying and those who are not. The researchers employed a descriptive methodology and administered the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI-es) and the Negative Acts Questionnaire-Revised (NAQ-R) to a sample of 810 employees in the public and private sectors. The study was based on the premise of how bullying affects burnout, what the relationship is between these two variables, and whether there are differences in burnout between those exposed to bullying and those who are not. The hypotheses posited that bullying behavior has both an impact and a relationship with the emergence of psychological burnout, and that there is a difference between the two sample groups. The results of the study concluded that bullying has a high negative impact on psychological burnout. The results also revealed that there are statistically significant differences between individuals who are bullied and those who are not in terms of psychological burnout, and that the relationship between bullying and burnout is positive. Therefore, reducing and eliminating bullying within institutions contributes to reducing the level of psychological burnout and thus raising the level of effective job performance within professional organizations.
