Abstract
This study undertakes a examination of the Proclamation of 01 November 1954 as both a seminal text and a constitutive framework for the Algerian nation-state, through an analytical focus on its articulation of citizenship principles. The investigation posits that the document transcends its immediate function as a revolutionary manifesto, revealing itself as a normative charter imbued with universal humanistic and ethical imperatives. Beyond its catalytic role in anticolonial resistance, the declaration articulated a prescient sociopolitical blueprint, envisioning a sovereign polity anchored in democratic governance, equality and social justice.
