Abstract

The world has recently witnessed a series of significant developments across various fields and sectors, driven by the massive information revolution and unprecedented big data. In light of this progress, it has become imperative for countries and institutions to leverage this transformative shift in all their administrative, productive, marketing, and human resource activities, given its substantial positive impact on enhancing performance and fostering the development of their nations. Amidst these digital transformations, the world has become interconnected through the internet, information technology, and artificial intelligence software. Algeria is among the countries striving to keep pace with digitalization. The Algerian government has been focusing on the field of digitalization and data modernization for a considerable period, as these efforts contribute to generating substantial profits. Furthermore, artificial intelligence technologies offer vast economic opportunities across several sectors, including healthcare, education, and other vital sectors of the country. To activate and enhance the adoption of artificial intelligence at all government and private sector levels, Algeria has implemented numerous strategies, including a focus on the development of specialized scientific expertise and local capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence. Despite the significant efforts made by Algeria to keep up with digital advancement, this progress has encountered numerous challenges. The lack of qualified personnel and the insufficient infrastructure are among the most prominent obstacles to the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence technologies in Algeria.
