Authors : Bouamer Khadidja . Hemaidia Asma .

Abstract

This study examines the role of emotional intelligence in international diplomacy, with a particular focus on Israel's interactions with African nations. As Africa gains greater geopolitical and economic prominence, understanding how emotional intelligence can enhance diplomatic relations becomes increasingly critical. The research investigates the influence of emotional intelligence on Israel's foreign policy in Africa by exploring how Israeli diplomats use it to build trust, strengthen partnerships, and navigate the complex political landscapes across the continent. A qualitative methodology was employed, involving content analysis of diplomatic speeches, policy documents, and historical interactions between Israel and African countries. The study reveals that emotional intelligence contributes to conflict resolution and economic cooperation, reinforcing Israel’s influence in Africa. The study underscores the importance of emotional intelligence as a critical component of diplomacy. It highlights how emotionally intelligent strategies have facilitated Israel’s engagement in Africa, overcoming historical tensions and fostering mutually beneficial relations. The results align with existing literature emphasizing the role of emotional intelligence in diplomacy and international cooperation. The study recommends that policymakers and diplomats incorporate emotional intelligence training into diplomatic education programs. Furthermore, future research should explore the role of emotional intelligence in other regional contexts to provide a comparative perspective on its effectiveness in global diplomacy.
