This study, entitled Engineering the Digital Self between Privacy Preservation and Identity Exposure, examines the impact of technological development in cyberspace on the self, based on the premise that self-expression within a specific identity is a dynamic and vital act that responds to the requirements of the times and the novelties produced by human civilization, especially in its post-realistic technical product in its globalized digital form, which produces the digital self versus the authentic self, posing challenges to the ability to preserve cultural specificity within the framework of global culture. Moreover, what are the mechanisms that the individual can rely on in order to address the duality of "alienation" and "exposure" of identities.
