Green Investment As A Financing Mechanism To Promote Sustainable Development: Standard Study Of A Sample From Southeast Asian Countries Using The Pvar Model

Abstract

This study aims to shed light on green investment as a modern financing mechanism that supports environmentally friendly projects and contributes to achieving sustainable development goals through its tools represented in green sukuk and its impact on the gross domestic product of a group of Southeast Asian countries represented by Malaysia, Thailand ,Indonesia, and the Philippines, using Panel Var model for the period 2018-2021.Depending on the variables GDP (LOGPIB) as the dependent variable and the independentvariables represented in the volume of green sukuk issuance (LOGGS), investment inrenewable energy (LOGENR), investment in the agricultural sector LOGAAGR, the totallabor force LOGWF and the total population LOGPOP, the results indicatethat green sukuk have a weak impact on GDP in the short and long terms; in addition, the gross domestic product are not only affected by the volumeof issuance of green sukuk, but also by other variables that have been includedin the study. Jel Classification Codes:G11,G23,Q42,C23,Q01. تهدف الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على الاستثمار الأخضر باعتباره آلية تمويلية حديثة والتي تدعم المشاريع الصديقة للبيئة. وتساهم في دعم التنمية المستدامة من خلال أدوات التمويل الأخضر وأساسا الصكوك الخضراء وأثرها على الناتج الإجمالي المحلي لعينة من دول جنوب شرق أسيا(ماليزيا وتايلند وإندونيسيا والفلبين) باستخدام نموذج Panel Var خلال الفترة 2018-2021 ،وبالاعتماد على المتغيرات المتمثلة في إجمالي الناتج المحلي LogPIB كمتغير تابع والمتغيرات المستقلة المتمثلة في حجم إصدار الصكوك الخضراء LogGS والاستثمار في الطاقة المتجددةLogENR والاستثمار في التكنولوجيا LogTECH والاستثمار في قطاع الزراعةLogAGRواجمالي القوى العاملة LogWFوإجمالي عدد السكان LogPOP ، حيث تم التوصل إلى أن الصكوك الخضراء لها أثر ضعيف على الناتج الإجمالي المحلي في المدى قصير والطويل إضافة إلى أن النتائج الإجمالي المحلي لا يتأثر بحجم إصدار الصكوك الخضراء فقط بل يتأثر بمتغيرات أخرى تم إدراجها في نموذج الدراسة . الكلمات المفتاحية: الاستثمار الأخضر؛ الصكوك الخضراء؛ التنمية المستدامة؛ أدوات التمويل الأخضر, نماذج بانل.
