Résumé

Takayasu's disease is an inflammatory aortitis leading to stenosing and aneurysmal lesions, which may progress to calcification. It affects the aorta and its main branches, as well as the aortic valve, potentially resulting in aortic valve insufficiency. We report the case of a 33-year-old woman with this disease, who was referred to us for surgical management of severe symptomatic aortic insufficiency. Preoperative investigation revealed a porcelain aorta and severe stenosis of the mesenteric arteries. This case illustrates the therapeutic challenge posed by this rare association.
