Social Security As An Insurance Mechanism For Individuals In Algerian Society

Abstract
ABSTRACT: The issue of social insurance and protection has become more than an inevitable necessity required by all the changes taking place in the political, social and economic arena, and this issue is likely to affect and harm the individual, which requires the presence of a body that protects these groups, represented by social security, that works to provide protection and improve security servicesIn all its forms and types, that is, comprehensive protection for individuals. Social Security is considered a vital insurance mechanism that aims to protect individuals in society from the economic risks that they may face in certain cases, such as old age, illness, disability, unemployment, or death. Accordingly, our research study was aimed at understanding the concept of social security and its role, as well as its types through the most important funds approved in security. Therefore, the following question can be asked: To what extent does social security through social insurance contribute to the social protection of individuals?
