This study aims to identify and evaluate the level of cybersecurity awareness and cybercrime among Internet users in Algeria. To study the subject optimally, the descriptive field approach was used by conducting a field study on a sample of 355 university students from the University of Djilali Bounaam in Khamis Miliana, utilizing a field questionnaire tool. Ultimately, the study yielded several findings, notably: students' engagement with virtual reality and the significance of the Internet in their lives, with 53.23% using the Internet regularly and 61.97% using it for extended periods daily. There is also a growing interest in cybersecurity, with students acknowledging the importance of cyber awareness in preventing cybercrime at 46.47%. Their level of knowledge of cybercrime was found to be average at 59.15%. In terms of awareness, students recognize the need to encourage cyber incident reporting by 28.73% and provide lessons and workshops on cybersecurity by 27.60%.
