Sight Translation: A Visual And Cognitive Perception For Hybrid Communicative Purposes.

Abstract

Sight translation is communicative mixture between translation and interpreting, it aims to restitute a written meaning into an oral form in the target language. This act is a result of a long chain of cerebral and cognitive instantaneous operations especially visual perception considered as a substantial element for the success of the following mental operation which is silent reading that aims to the capture source text meaning, its reformulation and its delivery in the target language.
