The COVID-19 pandemic revealed deep disparities in global health equity, as wealthy countries monopolised most of the vaccine supply while poor nations struggled to access vaccines. The principle of international solidarity emerged as a legal and ethical framework for ensuring equality in vaccine distribution; however, its implementation remained limited by national interests. This raises the question of whether international law can transform this principle from a moral obligation into an effective legal commitment that guarantees the right to health for all.
