The Impact Of Digitalization On The Development Of Public Service In Algeria

Abstract
Digitalization has become an important driver of public sector modernization and service improvement. In Algeria, the government has promoted digital transformation through e-government initiatives, administrative reforms, and the expansion of digital public services. However, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure, cybersecurity risks, resistance to change, and unequal digital literacy continue to affect implementation. This study examines the role of digitalization in improving public service delivery in Algeria using a descriptive-analytical approach based on recent literature, government reports, and international publications. The findings show that digitalization has enhanced transparency, simplified administrative procedures, and improved access to public services. However, sustaining these achievements requires further investment in digital infrastructure, human capital, legislative reform, and institutional governance. The study concludes with recommendations to strengthen Algeria's digital transformation and support a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centered public administration.
