Abstract : At the outset of this study, we agree that the term “Imuhag” is the word by which the Tuareg community refers to itself and affirms its identity, whereas we Arabs refer to them by various names such as the Tuareg, the Tawarg, and the Blue Men. The image of Imuhag society has remained vague in the writings of Arabs in general and Algerians in particular, despite the Imuhag’s long-standing affiliation with Algerian society, as its members inhabit many regions of the Algerian Sahara. In this study, we will present a portrait of Imuhag society through the novel *Tsoft* by its author, Muhammad Akmamah, a native of the city of Tamenghest, by depicting the image of men in this society as well as that of women, so that the portrait of Imuhag society constitutes the outcome of this research. The intended goal of this study is to uncover the secrets of this society and to examine the language’s ability to convey what the author intends to express through it, as the central issue that strongly imposes itself revolves around: To what extent is the narrator able to portray Imohag society through his carefully crafted narrative experience? To answer these questions, I employed a descriptive-analytical approach. In attempting to answer this question, we arrive at the most important conclusion: the necessity of deconstructing narrative mechanisms to represent the images intended to be highlighted in one novel over another
