This historical, statistical, and analytical study seeks to examine the extent to which the history of demonstrations and massacres particularly the massacres of Sétif and Guelma Massacres and the emergence of revolutionary consciousness are reflected through a reading of the experience of the martyr Mohamed Larbi Ben M'hidi. The study analyzes the interests and thematic orientations of the journal Revue Novembre during the period between 1972 and 2018, focusing on the nature of the topics it addressed and the extent of its contribution to consolidating the collective memory associated with Algeria’s contemporary history, particularly the phases of the national movement and the War of Independence. The study concludes with several key findings, most notably the strong relationship between colonial repression and the development of national consciousness, especially in the aftermath of the events of 8 May 1945. These massacres represented a decisive turning point that deepened the irreversible rupture with colonial rule and contributed to the emergence of militant and revolutionary figures who arose from the suffering of that period. Among them, Ben M'hidi is presented as a representative example, as highlighted in the journal’s writings, which reflect broader intellectual and historiographical efforts aimed at reinforcing Algeria’s collective national memory. Keywords : The May 8, 1945 Massacres; Mohamed Larbi Ben M'hidi; The November 1st Journal; Revolutionary Memory ; The Algerian Revolution.
