Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming modern auditing by automating data-intensive processes, boosting fraud detection, and enhancing risk assessments with advanced technologies such as machine learning and natural language processing, Major audit firms increasingly leverage AI to improve audit accuracy, efficiency, and data analysis, resulting in more reliable and timely financial reporting. Despite these advances, challenges persist-including data quality requirements, the complexity of algorithmic interpretability, and evolving ethical as well as regulatory concerns, Critical issues also include the need for workforce reskilling and the development of robust governance frameworks to guide responsible AI integration in audit practices, Successful adoption hinges on interdisciplinary collaboration and policy innovation to balance technological advancement with professional standards and public
