Learning Readiness And Its Relationship With Academic Achievement Among First-grade Primary School Students

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the relationship between learning readiness and academic achievement among first-grade primary school students. The research sample consisted of 32 students (18 males and 14 females) selected through simple random sampling. To achieve the study's objectives, a descriptive-analytical approach was adopted, utilizing two data collection instruments: a school maturity test and an academic achievement test. Following statistical analysis, the findings indicate that academic performance in this stage can be predicted through learning readiness, thereby establishing a significant positive correlation between learning readiness and academic achievement. ملخص: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى البحث في علاقة الاستعداد للتعلم بالأداء التحصيلي لدى تلاميذ السنة الأولى ابتدائي، لأفراد عينة متكونة من 32 تلميذ وتلميذة، منهم 18 ذكور و14 إناث، تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية البسيطة. وللتحقق من هدف هذه الدراسة تم تبني المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، واعتماد اختبارين لجمع البيانات تمثلا في اختبار النضج المدرسي، واختبار تحصيلي. وبعد معالجة المعطيات احصائيا، خلصت الدراسة إلى امكانية التنبؤ بالأداء الأكاديمي لدى تلاميذ هذه المرحلة من خلال استعدادهم للتعلم، وبالتالي وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة بين الاستعداد للتعلم والتحصيل الدراسي.
