Towards A Sustainable Environment: Environmental And Economic Insights Drawn From Successful International Recycling Experiences

Abstract

Abstract: Recycling is a fundamental tool for achieving sustainable development, as it plays a role in reducing energy consumption, lowering carbon emissions, and protecting natural resources and biodiversity. This article aims to analyze the role of recycling policies and strategies in achieving a balance between environmental and economic dimensions. The study adopted a scientific analytical approach based on a literature review and a comparison of the experiences of developed and developing countries. The results show that recycling supports the circular economy, provides employment opportunities, and reduces various forms of pollution. The study also emphasizes the importance of institutional frameworks and raising public awareness, in addition to the role of modern technologies and industrial innovation in improving the efficiency of recycling processes and achieving integrated environmental and economic benefits, thus promoting long-term overall sustainability. ملخص : تعد إعادة التدوير أداة أساسي لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة، إذ تسهم في خفض استهلاك الطاقة، وتقليل انبعاثات الكربون، وحماية الموارد الطبيعية والتنوع البيولوجي. تهدف هذه المقالة إلى تحليل دور سياسات واستراتيجيات إعادة التدوير في تحقيق التوازن بين البعدين البيئي والاقتصادي. اعتمدت الدراسة منهجا تحليليا قائما على مراجعة الأدبيات ومقارنة تجارب الدول المتقدمة والنامية تظهر النتائج أن إعادة التدوير تدعم الاقتصاد الدائري، وتوفر فرص عمل، وتقلل من مختلف أشكال التلوث. كما تؤكد الدراسة على أهمية الأطر المؤسسية ورفع مستوى الوعي العام، فضلًا عن دور التقنيات الحديثة والابتكار الصناعي في تحسين كفاءة عمليات إعادة التدوير وتحقيق فوائد بيئية واقتصادية متكاملة، ما يعزز الاستدامة الشاملة على المدى الطويل
